South Cape ranked 9th in the U.S. <Golf Digest>'s "World's Top 100 Golf Courses 2020-2021",
which includes golf courses worldwide, excluding the U.S., covering the U.K., Europe, Oceania,
and Asia.
Ron Whitten of Golf Digest, who wrote the article, noted that the enigmatic South Cape is gradually
becoming known to the world's golf panels, with its reputation among visiting experts
continuing to rise.

Nestled in the heart of Hallyeohaesang National Park, known for its rugged ria coastline and numerous small islands, South Cape is situated in a location rarely seen around the world.
Designed by Kyle Phillips, the master of links course design who also created multiple world top 100 courses such as Kingsbarns in Scotland,
South Cape is a course where the concept of "illusion" is seamlessly integrated into the natural landscape.
International media have described it as "Well Born, Well Made."

Beyond its golf course, South Cape boasts exceptional facilities, including a stunning clubhouse.
Achieving the world number one ranking in the future would further highlight its aesthetic structures,
such as the architectural marvel of the clubhouse, to a global audience.

Additionally, Simon Holt, a columnist for another American specialist publication,
<Golf Magazine>, compared South Cape's 16th hole to the world-renowned 16th hole at Cypress Point in the U.S., stating that it is hard to choose between the two.
He remarked that the tee house perched on a cliff, with its glass walls offering breathtaking views, felt as if he was standing at the bow of the Titanic.
Furthermore, the ivory-colored clubhouse, providing a panoramic view of the sky and sea while seemingly stretching endlessly into the future,
and the music library equipped with cultural heritage-grade speakers from Western Electric and Klangfilm, were unique experiences.
He also mentioned that the food made with local ingredients at the clubhouse ranked among the top five dishes he has ever tasted during his global golf travels.
